We invite interested parties to register promptly to secure their place at this year’s Slovenian Competition Law Day, taking place on October 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Best Western Premier Hotel Slon in Ljubljana. Organized by the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency (AVK), the event will once again feature a rich professional program.
The keynote speaker will be Sir Ian Forrester KC, a renowned expert in European law - specializing in competition law, among other areas - and a former judge at the General Court of the European Union. Two panel discussions will address corrective measures in corporate mergers and the effectiveness of implementing the EU Directive on Unfair Trading Practices; speakers will include leading representatives from the Slovak, Czech, Croatian, and Austrian competition authorities, as well as representatives and presidents from the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the European Commission. Perspectives on these current topics will also be presented by legal practitioners and the former chief economist of the Hungarian competition authority.
