SCPA lecture as part of the legal clinic at the Ljubljana Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana (PF UL) has had a so-called Law Clinic for many years, which tries to bring legal practice in various fields closer to its students. Among other things, the aforementioned Law Clinic deals with the field of public procurement, concessions and public-private partnerships.

This year, Slovenian Competition Protection Agency (SCPA) is again participating in this project of the PF UL, and on Friday, 20 March 2026, SCPA representatives gave a lecture at the aforementioned faculty with an emphasis on the competences and activities of SCPA in the field of public procurement, while presenting the basic competences in the field of restrictive practices and concentrations and the supply chain of agricultural and food products. SCPA representatives also outlined the specifics of the procedure before SCPA, the institutes of settlements, the leniency program and investigations, and they also shared their experiences with the students and presented the SCPA's practice in the field of public procurement.

"This kind of cooperation between the AVK and the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana is important for both institutions. "In addition to theoretical knowledge, students gain much-needed practical experience, while also having the opportunity to make contact with a potential new employer. For us at the Agency, such cooperation is an important additional opportunity to acquire new staff, specifically lawyers, whom we urgently need at SCPA for our operations," said Andrej Matvoz, Director of Slovenian Competition Protection Agency, upon signing the statement on cooperation between SCPA and the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana.
