The concept of control of concentrations between undertakings has been taken up by Slovenia in its legislation under Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 of 20. 1. 2004 on the control of concentrations between undertakings (also: EC Merger Regulation; OJ L 024 of 29.1.2004), further elaborated by the Commission’s Consolidated Jurisdictional Notice under Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 on the control of concentrations between undertakings of 16. 4. 2008 (OJ C 95/1 of 16. 4. 2008), together with the other numerous notices and guidelines (see the Legal Acts in force tab -> European Union Legislation).

The Agency assesses concentrations subject to the obligation to notify under the Prevention of Restriction of Competition Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No 130/2022; hereinafter: ZPOmK-2 or the Act).
